Homemade Graham Crackers
These homemade graham crackers by far exceed the taste and texture of store bought graham crackers. They turn out crisp and aren’t overly sweet. These would make the most amazing s’mores.
The ingredients that make a graham cracker a “graham cracker” are:
Butter
Whole wheat flour
Honey
Brown sugar
A wee bit of cinnamon
Homemade Graham Crackers

1 stick (8tablespoons) butter, room temperature
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
In a stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment or hand mixer, beat together butters, sugars, vanilla, and honey until light and fluffy.
Add all dry ingredients and mix dough until just combined. Form into a ball and wrap in plastic, flattening the ball into a disc. Refrigerate the dough for a few hours. When read to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove dough from fridge and let sit at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes until softened slightly. Roll out into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into squares. Prick each square with fork tines to make small holes. Bake for 8 minutes until lightly golden brown.
