Quarantine Cookie Exchange
Last Friday, some of my friends and I had a quarantine cookie exchange at the Rose Garden in Santa Barbara.
We each made a batch of cookies, packaged them and handed them out to each other.
It was a very nice way to see friends and get out of the house. We sat far apart from each other and wore our face masks (except for in these pictures)
Quarantine has been particularly difficult for me because one way I deal with my anxiety and depression is by getting out of my house and seeing my friends. It instantly lifts my mood and reminds me to look outside myself, to look at the sky and remember that other people are also feeling the same.
I highly recommend doing something like this if you can, in a safe way.
Here was the cookie line-up:
Lemon glazed cookies by Anna
Frosted Flakes cookies by Camille
Turmeric cookies by Itir
Flourless chocolate hazelnut cookies by Laura
Brown butter blondies and brown butter snickerdoodles by me!
I am linking the recipes for the brown butter blondies and the snickerdoodles here and here.
